#14 How to get what you want Welcome! I’m Omkar Shinde. Slowly but surely, you are now getting motivated to know how to get what you want. Sit down for a while, in a relaxed mood and bring to your conscious mind what you really want to get. Visualize it in the best way possible with that particular touch, color and beauty which only you can add. Make your goal as clear as possible and which should keep motivating yourself. In the business of life, don’t allow yourself to get caught up in the activity trap. Shape your intelligence and will power in such a way that they indicate to you possible channels that can lead you to get what you want.   Keep in mind the carpenter’s rule: “measure twice, cut once.” Once you have a clear vision as regards what you want to get, the next step is to pin down precisely what steps you need to take to achieve your goal. This surely is a tough task. You may need to cut down on some of your pleasures, friendships, entertainments, etc. E...

#12 Conquer fears and worries Welcome! I’m Omkar Shinde. Hello friends!... Today we are going to talk about “Fear” and “Worries”. Eager to know how to conquer fears and worries? Trust in God! Fears and worries, to some extent, are normal part of life, though the cause of this does need to be identified. However, touching this real wound is hurtful; but one day or the other, you need to touch it. Pluck up courage and do it – and do it now. Once the root cause is marked out, begin the healing process. If the root cause is attachments, then try to live a serene life. Make your demands as less as possible. Replace your fears and worries with confidence and trust. I can

Image
#11 I can Welcome! I’m Omkar Shinde. The ability to say “I can” springs from within. It is undoubtedly the core of a certain amount of confidence that the person has built up from their inner self. Feeling confident over certain issues, tasks, etc. verbalizing it and performing certain tasks relentlessly guarantees the person, that sense of right confidence. In the words of the great English novelist, Samuel Butler, “If we attend to little that we can do, we shall be surprised to find that little remains that we cannot do.” Don't let what you cannot do, interfere with what you can do.   Those around us and especially their words of encouragement are of immense worth in helping us to say: “I can”. And this endure it everyday. “Man’s mind stretched to a new idea never goes back to its original shape,” opines the American Essayist, Oliver Wendell Holmes. So keep on stretching yourself until you explore all the possible avenues. Focus on granularity.   Kee...

#10 Loving oneself Welcome! I’m Omkar Shinde. Love of self! A dream or a reality? To learn the art of loving oneself one must and needs to back to his/her home and dear ones. Certainly it is in our family and in the company of those dear and near to us that we were made to feel that we were someone. Their words, expressions and their very great and wanted. Cherishing our childhood experiences and treasuring the rich heritage of experience made up on loving and dynamic interactions inside the family circle and outside, we can rebuild our selves anew. The positive feedback and the gracious acknowledgements that come our way from friends and peer every now and again are of great worth in helping us to fall in love with our self.   Love yourself first, so you know what to deserve. Taking a closer look at life and at its origin, purpose and significance would prove a great boost to us. A deep awareness that we are not on planet earth by chance but have been create...

Develop the greatness within you

# 9 Develop the greatness within you Welcome! I’m Omkar Shinde. Oh the scared mystery that each of us is! “What lies behind us and what lies before us are but tiny matters compared to what lies within us!” These beautiful words of Oliver Wendell Holmes are sufficient to express how very important it is to develop the greatness within a person. Maybe moving ahead with the philosophy of “being” is the best tactic to develop the greatness within a person. When the doing flows from the being, it is then that the inner greatness begins to find expression. Within the core of every human person there is an unquenchable thirst for truth, goodness and beauty. And when you discover the truth you get enraptured by it. Getting in touch with goodness makes you contemplative of goodness. You have greatness within you, the key is to get it out. Beauty captures your being and enveloped in beauty you long to fix your gaze on true beauty. Within every human being there ought to ...

Avoid worrying

Image
# 8 Avoid worrying Welcome! I’m Omkar Shinde. So as mentioned above today we are going to discuss about how to overcome from worrying. The starting point to eradicate worry is to pluck up courage and get down to the root cause of worry. Now, this could indeed be a tremendous and strenuous task – a task that calls for much clarity of thoughts, and courage to face the truth. Once the root cause of worry is identified, you’ve got to have courage to call it by proper name (jealousy, fear, failure, afraid to cut a poor image, etc.).  Worrying is like paying a debt you don't owe.  This done, take a piece of paper an d write down what it is that worry brings you. Consider one event or experience over which you worried – for example, a failure in some exam. Worry it’s up the worrier. A worry person is so much buried within his/her problem that it becomes almost impossible to see anything beyond the worry.   The ability to develop inner listening skills will p...
